It is with great sadness that the Club has to announce the passing of the legend that is John 'Zaggy' Zgoda.

Zaggy had struggled for some time with health issues, and we believe that Zaggy passed away peacefully in his sleep last Thursday morning.

Zaggy was known throughout local, national, and international rugby circles and will be sorely missed by all. Zaggy was a player at Hull & East Riding RUFC and a loyal supporter and sponsor of Hull Ionans RUFC. We have lost a great character, a great rugby player, and a gentleman.

We will have a tribute to Zaggy in the next home match programme and a minutes silence prior to the match.

We pass on our deepest condolences to Danny and the rest of the family.
